Hidden Valley Incorporates Modular Technology

Tucson, Arizona - February 24, 2009

Modular Mining Systems, Inc.-the world leader in information management solutions for mining operations-announces that Hidden Valley Mine, a joint venture between Harmony Gold Ltd. and Newcrest Mining Company Ltd., will integrate the IntelliMine^® asset management suite into their operations this spring.

Technology to be installed includes the DISPATCH^® mine management system, the MasterLink^® wireless network, and ModularReady^TM interfaces to Komatsu VHMS and PLM systems.  Additionally, the mine hopes to implement the MineCare^® maintenance management solution in the future.

The mine chose Modular because of the company’s field-proven products and specialized local support services, including on-site engineering support, training, remote data analysis, and daily system health monitoring.
